First record of Rhynchoconger nitens (Jordan & Bollman 1890) (Teleostei: Congridae) from off southern Peru. A case of larval dispersal in relation with El Niño?

A specimen of Rhyncoconger nitens, a small congrid, is recorded for the first time from Ilo (Moquegua, Peru). To explain its presence at 18° of south latitude, a hypothesis of larval migration during an El Niño is proposed.
