The fish body length ranged from 275-390 mm. Three parasite species were determined, Rhadynorhynchus trachuri, Lampritrema sp. and Hysterothylacium sp. This is the third record of P. richardsoni for Chilean waters and the first record of its parasites for the southeastern Pacific Ocean.
